Catch up!

I just realized how long it has been since I have written anything on my own blog!  A little depressing to realize that two full months have passed since I’ve had the opportunity to just sit down and write, but encouraging in that those two months have been beyond busy.

Just to catch up briefly…in the past 2 months:

  • I have been going full speed with serving as the assistant coach for a high school lacrosse team in the area.  We started our season January 31 and next week is our last week of the season!  While there will always be areas we can improve on, we have had a good season, drastic improvement overall, and I am already looking forward to an even better season next year!
  • My husband and I also found out that I am expecting again!  While I am FINALLY out of the first trimester, this baby is proving to keep me on my toes right from the get-go.
  • My daughter has figured out this walking thing and has taken off!  She is also talking up a storm (what she is saying, I have no idea, but she seems very confident about it).
  • Work for the girls ministry is moving forward and I’m hammering out the final details for our end-of-year retreat.

It’s amazing how much can be packed into just a couple months time.  I am continually amazed by all that God is doing in my life.  Those were just 4 quick points of everything that has occupied my life, mind, and heart.

I’m really excited for the upcoming opportunity to speak at the girl’s retreat at the end of this month.  In my long list of dreams, I have this desire to not just be effective at public speaking, but to determine if I am gifted in it.  This will be my first opportunity to try and though I am nervous, I am more excited.  I will have several of the women that I trust and respect critic me and give me feedback on how they felt it went.  It’s not much, but it’s a start and more than anything, it is moving in a forward direction on some of the areas that I want to grow and be successful in (my writing is included in that…sad to say I have been neglecting that one).

I don’t believe that I will ever adjust to the flying pace of my life, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts and inspirations someplace.  Whether people read it or not, I don’t really know, but that’s okay.  It’s a start.  And ultimately, you can never reach the end if you never bother to start.
