December 8, 2010, at 2:30 in the morning, Kyle and I welcomed our first beautiful daughter into the world. At birth she weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long. She had a full head of black hair and the cutest chubby cheeks.
Two years later I have a very active two year old on my hands. She loves books and will happily recite her alphabet to you. Any monkey she sees becomes “George” and we have just entered the world of the defiant “no!” Chalk is so much fun and she happily allows her best friend Emma to more than carry any conversation (and lead the way into any possible mischief).
Her black hair has lightened up to a beautiful medium brown with reddish highlights any woman would pay an arm and a leg to have done professionally. The ringlet curls that surround her face (that still sports the cutest chubby cheeks) gives her a classic little girl look that captures your heart and promises to never let it go.
My little introvert has captured my heart in ways that I could never imagine and I am so blessed to be her momma. That smile that she gives me each morning when she sees me warms me so and I can’t imagine anything more wonderful then when she gives me a big bear hug.
